He is survived by: his wife Eyvette Biddix Burleson; his children, Lisa Burleson of Spruce Pine, NC, Steve Burleson (Whitney) of Spruce Pine, NC and Nathan Burleson (Hannah) of Spruce Pine, NC; his brother Earl Ray Burleson (Carolyn) of Spruce Pine, NC; his grandchildren, Martin, Garren, Desmond, Felicity and Emmie; and his sister Glenda Burleson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
