She was predeceased by: her parents, Sollie Aldean Kiger and Myrtle Griffin Kiger; her son Bruce Alan Young; and her siblings, Myrtle Hedrick, Minnie Mabe, Della Stafford, Irma Murphy, Betty Ruth Kiger, Laurston Kiger, Ollie Will Kiger, Luther Kiger and Clyde Kiger.
She is survived by: her husband Carl Young; her children, Kelly Young (Nancy) of Summerfield and Jill Ann Reinhardt (Charles) of State Road; her daughter-in-law Sharon Young of Colfax; her sister Shirley Whitaker of Kernersville; her grandchildren, Hillary Denise Young and Clayton Alan Young; and her great grandchildren, Oliver and Harper.
