With solemn reverence, we commemorate William Mentel of Oak Island, North Carolina, whose life came to an end on April 20, 2025 at the age of 74, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Mentel and Rita Mentel; his brother-in-law Andy Neal; his niece Jacqueline Lewallen; his nephew Justin Neal; his sister-in-law Patricia Neal; his parents-in-law, Roy and Elsie Neal; and also Kim.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Mentel; his sister Ann Stasunas (Tony); and his siblings-in-law, David Neal and Aytul Ozkan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Edgewood Presbyterian Church (316 W McIntosh St, Sanford, NC 27330). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill Mentel's may be made to the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28461.
