It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Twila Hillman Nowak of Oak Island, North Carolina, born in Kirkman, Iowa, who passed away on November 7, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ralph Thompson and Marie Thompson; her husband Paul Timothy Nowak; her children, Tyrone Hillman, Trent Hillman (Rose Hinkel), Tara Naus (David Cunningham), Travis Hillman and Christopher Nowak; her grandchildren, Morgan Hillman, Shane Hillman, Reece Naus, Julianne Naus and Estelle Nowak; and her great grandchildren, Jordan Hillman, Derric Hillman, Cami Hoggatt, Gage Hoggatt and Waylon Kauffman.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Kidney Foundation.
