He was predeceased by: his wife Janie Mae McKenzie; and his brothers, Everett Daniel McKenzie, Jasper Lee McKenzie and John William McKenzie. He is survived by: his children, Gary McKenzie (Jane) of Seagrove, Donald Thurman McKenzie of Cameron and Tammy Kivett (Ed) of Salisbury; and his siblings, Hugh Hargrove (Mary Lee) of Whiteville, Sarah Williams (Steven) of Hamlet and Margaret Shimata of Hawaii. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
