It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlene Lelia Gunn (Oak Island, North Carolina), who passed away on June 22, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Arlene Lelia Gunn to pay them a last tribute.
She is survived by: her children, Nick and Erika; her father Kenneth Gunn; and her nephews, Matt of New York and Dan of Florida.
From the evening of her passing wrote her son Nick: "My mom went Home today. She is free of all her pain & suffering, which I am grateful for. She was ready to go & most everyone got to say good bye. I will miss her very much. She was the toughest woman I've ever known. She could work toe to toe with any man on the job site. She beat her demons & died a noble woman, for which I am proud of. I will never forget you. How blunt fully honest you were. It makes me laugh thinking about the many people you stunned as you spoke your mind. And that mind was a beautiful painting. Rest in peace mom, knowing you did a great job raising Erika & myself. A memorial service will be held on Oak Island on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. The location will be the 49th easy beach access with parking across the street at Kevin Bell Skate Park& the beach access. Bring your own chair. In lieu of flowers, Arlene asked to make donations to cancer research.
