He is survived by: his wife Barbara Scearce Bennett; his sons, Micheal Wayne Bennett (Robin Taylor Bennett) of Bear Grass and Edward Everett Bennett; his grandchildren, Kayla Bennett Spear (Camron Spear) of Greenville, Kelsey Faith Bennett of Greenville and Samuel Taylor Bennett (Sammy) of Bear Grass; and his brother William Ross Bennett (Joan Burroughs Bennett) of Hassell.
