She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Beverly Whitehead and Roland Isaac Whitehead (William Joseph Johnson, III); her son Larry Whitehead Johnson; and her siblings, Ernestine Robertson, Ruth Smith and Alton Whitehead.
She is survived by: her husband William Joseph Johnson; her daughters, Vickie Whitfield (J. C.) of Oak City and Jackie Jones (Douglas) of Scotland Neck; her grandsons, Jason Nichols (Zoe) of Kings Mountain, Joey Nichols (Kathryn) of Nashville, Brian Harrell of Apex and Michael Harrell (Lynnsie) of Macclesfield; and her great grandchildren, Lily Hodges of Nashville, Olivia Nichols of Nashville and Clara Nichols of Nashville.
