It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernie Bowers (Norwood, North Carolina), who passed away on July 1, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William C. "Bill" Bowers; her siblings, Bennett, Elgavan Poplin and Phyllis Helms; and her great grandchild Ellison Ann Burton.
She is survived by: her sons, William Kevin Bowers (Pat) of Norwood and Ricky Tyrone Bowers (Rita) of Richmond, VA; her grandchildren, Ty Bowers (Liz) of Richmond, VA, Casey Burton (Doug) of Richmond, VA, Brandi Bowers and Cody Bowers of Norwood; her great grandchildren, Natalie Bowers, Kinsley, Nolan and Brooks Burton; and her siblings, Douglas Poplin and Eloise McCowan.
