He was predeceased by: his siblings, Roy, Johnny, David, Bill, Bobby Byrd, Lousie Beitzel and Shirley Greene.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Gardner Byrd; his daughter Pamela Byrd Cales (Zeb) of Albemarle; his grandchildren, William Allan Parsons, Jr., Christopher Jordan Martinez (Liz) of Albemarle and Taylor Ray Martinez of Norwood; his great grandchild Aubrey Michelle Martinez; his sister Isabelle Carter of Mt. Gilead; and his close friend Nallo Martinez.
