It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Motley of Norwood, North Carolina, born in Isle of Wight, Virginia, who passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayland Blowe and Betty Blowe; and her husband James Ronald Motley. She is survived by: her daughter Yvonne Poling of Norwood; her grandchildren, Jesse Poling (Ally), Donnie Poling (Heather), Matthew Poling (Katelin) and Michelle Poling; her great grandchildren, Jaidynn, Lilly, Elyi, Annie and Tania; her siblings, Jesse Blowe and Ethel Fanney; and her sister-in-law Linda Mazzone (Faye Motley).
A memorial service was held on Sunday, October 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care - Albemarle (1835 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001).
