He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Coone and Bertha Melton Coone; his wife Mildred Biles Coone; and his siblings, Harry Coone and Betty Jane Coone.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Coone (Norma) of Norwood, Terry Coone (Janet) of Supply, NC, Roger Coone (Lisa) of Norwood and Sheila Springer (Todd) of Norwood; and his siblings, Brenda Barbee (Tom) of Norwood and Bobby 'Pete' Coone (Deidra) of Albemarle. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
