He is survived by: his spouse Callie Mae Taylor Carpenter; his children, Wayne Carpenter of Norwood and Veta Dalton; and his brothers, Johnny Carpenter and Willie Manning. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
