He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vernon and Dorothy Taylor Thompson; and his brother Vernon Laster Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Mabel Shue Thompson; his daughters, Kristi Jo Thompson (Michelle Kimrey) of Norwood and Jennifer Thompson Bowers (Allen) of Albemarle; his grandchildren, Jessie, Chris and Cory Bowers; his great grandchildren, Bryson, Dalton, Haydon, Layla, Gage and Amari Bowers; and his sister Maurine Terry of Albemarle.
