He is survived by: his wife Marie Barbee Stogner; his children, Stogner Jr. (Amy), Myra Smith (Charlie Brown), Mark Stogner (Traci) and Thomas Furr (Kayla); his grandchildren, Austin Smith (Jada), Donnie Smith (Sabrina), John Marlin Morgan, Peyton Furr and Ella Furr; his great grandchildren, Everly, Sophie and Emmett; and his siblings, Harry Stogner (Betty), Janet Caudle and Rilla Furr (Gene).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Homes (120 College St, Norwood, NC 28128). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Porter Baptist Church (16562 US-52 A, Norwood, NC 28128).
