She was predeceased by: her parents, Fleta Collins and Jehovah; and her siblings, Mary Lee Armstrong, Pauline Tyson, Sallie Mae McCormick (Sarah Jean Collins), Jim Armstrong, Rufus Collins, James Collins and Robert Collins.
She is survived by: her significant other Curtis Lindsey, Sr.; her children, Augustine McBride (late Robert) of Raeford, NC, Jeanette Dumas (late Joseph) of Mount Gilead, NC, Roxanne McDonald (Jim Sr) of Mount Gilead, NC, Regina Thomas (John Frank), Jackquline Simon (late Robert) of Southern Pines, NC, Curtis Lindsey (late Dorthy) of Southern Pines and Keary Lindsey of Carthage, NC; her stepdaughter Mary Louise Simmons of Oklahoma City, OK; her siblings, Carrie Lee Cole (Ivey) of Troy, NC and Edward Lee Collins (late Lizzie Mae) of Chapel Hill, NC; her sister-in-law Verlina (late James) of Wadeville, NC; and her sister Martha Watkins. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home (200 W Allenton St, Mt Gilead, NC 27306).
