With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Ned Carpenter of Norwood, North Carolina, who passed away on January 10, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, A. C. Carpenter and Mary Sue Greene Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Almond Carpenter; his daughters, Tammy Vanhoy (Yancey) of Mt. Gilead and Amy Burris (Bill) of Albemarle; his siblings, Reggie Carpenter of Norwood, Dan Carpenter of Norwood, Sheila Poplin of Albemarle and Sandy Curlee of Norwood; his grandchildren, Tasha Springer, Chancey Whitley, Nick Curlee, Jordan Ridenhour and Carrie Ridenhour; and his great grandchildren, Carson Powe, Cassidy Powe, Willow Springer, Eleanor Curlee, Ivy-Rose Springer and Ace Smith.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 11578 NC-138, Norwood, NC 28128.
