He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Tyson and Lucille Crump Tyson; his wife Mary Barringer Tyson; and his sons, Terry and Timothy Deese.
He is survived by: his sons, Tony Barringer (Loretta) of Mt. Gilead and Tracy Deese (Robin) of Albemarle; his brother Gary Tyson (Linda) of Norwood; and his close friend Diesel. He is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
