She was predeceased by: her parent Richmond Paul; her husband Clay Simmons; her children, Sandy Clay Simmons, Jack Odell Simmons and Bonnie Elizabeth Simmons; her sister Lois; and also Tiny.

She is survived by: her parent Bertha Odell Lee; her spouse Vertie H. Lee; her stepchild Connie; her children, Connie, Paulette Edwards (Kenneth), Allison Simmons (Rose) and Susan Hinson (Joe); her daughter-in-law Anita Simmons of Norwood; her sister Bonnie Lee Blalock; and also Tetanus.
