He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Leroy Sr. and Margaret Colson Shankle; his brothers, Donnie Lilly, Kermit Shankle and Gary Shankle; his uncle Clifton H. Shankle Sr. (Annie N. Shankle); and his aunts, Shirley Bryan and Mattie Delzora Shankle McInnis.
He is survived by: his wife Lajania Watkins Baldwin Shankle; his stepchildren, Kiyoka Baldwin, Terrance Baldwin (Gracey) and Ayanna Baldwin; his stepgrandchildren, Tianna, Yahel and Elliyahnna; his siblings, Grover Shankle (Edwina), Truttie Shankle and Libby Shankle; and his aunts and uncles, Jeanette Colson, Glossie Mae Colson, Mary Louise Capel (Joseph), Orrin Colson (Sandra) and David Bryan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
