He was predeceased by: his wife Gail Ellen Mintz Benton. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Pattison (Richard) of Waxhaw, Sean Benton (Christie) of Matthews and Darrin Benton (Terri) of Myrtle Beach, SC.; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jacob, Shelby, Hannah, Jessica, Abigail and Tiffany.
