She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaston Maxwell and Dicie Lou Davis; her husband Donald Strickland; and her sisters, Ellerea Maxwell Hamilton and Lillian Yvonne Maxwell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rochella Glenn (Mike) of North Wilkesboro, Bridgett Edsel (Derek) of Gastonia and Robin Collins (Charlie) of Winston Salem; and her siblings, Mack Maxwell (Rosie) of Delaware, Sally Moxley of Laurel Springs and Wanda Davis of North Wilkesboro. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Chapel (180 Sparta Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
