He is survived by: his wife Roberta Lee Halstead Smith; his daughters, Elenor Lowe (Teddy) of North Wilkesboro, Michelle Sheets (David) of North Wilkesboro, Tiffany Workman (Ben) of Florence, SC, Mable Kilby (Dash) of Millers Creek and Lizzy Smith of North Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Alyssa Workman, Kylee Workman, Corbitt Lowe, Issac Lowe, Brayn Smith, Jeremiah Smith, Layla Smith, Nicole Kilby, Andrew Kilby, Rosemary Smith, Loretta Smith and Sean Smith; and his siblings, Helen Kilby of Fayetteville, J. L. Smith (Tammy) of Pamlico, SC and Paul Smith of Florence, SC..
