He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas and Minnie Ann Bishop Griffin; his wife Hazel Griffin; and his siblings, Garvie Griffin, Hazel Church, Josephine Royal and Veonia Miller.
He is survived by: his daughters, Annette Absher (Randy), Nannette Killen (Randy) and Michelle Hardy (Kelly); his grandchildren, Nathan Byrd (Samantha), Jason Byrd, Breanna Osborne (Tommy), Kala Byrd, Thomas Dyer (Tara), Madison Church, Stephen Church, Victoria Dyer, Christian Hardy and Andi Hardy; his sister Maxine Keys (Joey); and his pet Max. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
