He is survived by: his father Vernon Eugene Blackburn, Sr.; his wife Karen Walker Blackburn; his sons, Zack Blackburn of North Wilkesboro and Garrett Blackburn of North Wilkesboro; his brother Shone Blackburn (Tonya) of North Wilkesboro; his parents-in-law, Dean and Brenda McManus; and his sister-in-law Kimberly Taylor (Travis Alvis). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
