He was predeceased by: his parents, Gener F. Haas and Edith Tolbert Haas; his sister Nancy Bumgarner (O. C.); and his brother-in-law Rev. Ken Pritchard. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Jennings Haas; his children, Dale A. Haas (Elaine) of Chicago, IL, Chris K. Haas (Nickie) of Concord, Brad P. Souther (Mandy) of Wilkesboro and Stephanie Prevette (Barry) of North Wilkesboro; and his siblings, Rex Haas (Ada) of Taylorsville, Avery Haas (Brigitte) of Ocean Springs, MS, Lillian Pritchard of Fayetteville and Earlene Winebarger (Larry) of Lenoir. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
