He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Lee Wood and Mary Blanche Holleman Wood; and his siblings, Barbara Pennington, Shirley Ann Lowery, Nancy Church and Edward "Ronald" Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Marlene Eller Wood; his children, Cindy Sparwasser (Carl) of Hays, Adam Wood (Michelle) of Wilkesboro and Andrew Wood of Purlear; his sister Evelyn Horton of Pine Level, NC; his grandchildren, Jared Sparwasser (Kimberli) of Hays, Aj Sparwasser and Micala; and his great grandchildren, Dylin of Hays, Joseph of Hays and Eva Sparwasser of Hays.
