He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Anderson and Hessie Shew Anderson; his son Danny Talmadge Anderson; his grandchild Amanda Cleary; and his siblings, Reathie Bowers, Vecie Clonch, Lessie Richardson, Slyvia Blackburn, Dorothy Kilby, Joyce Stokes, Dwight Anderson, Dewey Junior Anderson and Wade Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Davis Anderson; his daughter Frances Cleary (Brent) of North Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Martin Cleary (Trish), Matthew Cleary, Phillip Anderson and Mark Anderson; his great grandchildren, Caitlin Keeran, MacKenzie Cleary and Patrick Cleary; his sisters, Gladys Nichols, Mary Alexander (Edward) and Barbara Anderson of North Wilkesboro; and his sister-in-law Helen Turner (Benny) of Wilkesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
