He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Shike Stone and Angie Absher Stone; his son Jimmy Lee Stone; his siblings, Garland Stone, Dwight Stone and Margaret Brown; and his stepfather Billy Ray Cauthren.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Stone of North Wilkesboro; his sons, Steven Darrell Stone (Jamie) of North Wilkesboro and Timmy Lee Stone (Teresa) of Hays; his half-brother Tony Cauthren of North Wilkesboro; his granddaughter Magan Stone (Olen Black); his great grandchild Alaine Black of Kernersville; his granddaughter Brandie Andrews (Nathan) of Boone; his great grandchildren, Koen Andrews of Boone, Jace Andrews of Boone and Noah Andrews of Boone; his granddaughter Hayle Anderson (Dustin) of Traphill; and his great grandchildren, Easton Anderson of Traphill and Barrett Anderson of Traphill. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (353 Luray Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
