He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Rhodes and Hettie Elledge Rhodes; and his wife Joan Frances Blevins Rhodes. He is survived by: his son Douglas Rhodes of North Wilkesboro; his sisters, Mary Jennings of North Wilkesboro, June Harrold of Hays and Joyce Dancy of Puerto Rico; and his sister-in-law Judy Anthony (David) of Purlear.
