She was predeceased by: her parents, William W. Sloop and Victoria Billings Sloop; her husband John E. Brooks; and her siblings, Dean Sloop, Filmore Sloop, Eugene Sloop, Alvin Sloop, Arlie Sloop, John Sloop, Clyde Sloop, Mae Combs and Inabell Foster.
She is survived by: her sons, John E. Brooks, Jr. (Rene) of Washington State and David Brooks (Jaqueline) of Texas; her grandchildren, Nonalie Melton (Scott) of Concord, Michael Brooks, John Roderick Brooks of Washington, Kelly Hoang of Texas and Katie Hernandez (Michael) of Texas; her great grandchildren, Kinley Hoang of Texas and Kamryn Hoang of Texas; and her sister Kathryn Nelson of North Wilkesboro.
