He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Shumate Sebastian; his daughter Bobbie Handy (Scott) of North Wilkesboro; his brother-in-law Clinton Hamby of North Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Christopher Scott Perryman (Olivia) of Charlotte, Kevin Allen Perryman (Allyson) of North Wilkesboro, Courtney Brown (Brian) of North Wilkesboro, Brent Crysel (Victoria) of North Wilkesboro, Bradley Crysel of Moravian Falls, Evan Handy (Victoria) of Wilkesboro and Lauren Mitchell (Ethan) of North Wilkesboro; his great grandchildren, Staci Brown (Marcus Lira) of Wilkesboro, Judd Crysel of Deep Gap, Braxton Brown of North Wilkesboro, Ayden Crysel of North Wilkesboro and Zacharius Crysel of North Wilkesboro; and his great great grandchildren, Marion Lira of Wilkesboro, Kilby Quinn Handy of Wilkesboro and Eleanor Carolina Mitchell of North Wilkesboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
