She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Tugman and Verna Taylor Tugman; her husband Russell McLean; her son-in-law Rev. Jerry Smith; her grandson Ethan McLean; and her brothers, Forest (Helen Tugman), Buddy (Beth Tugman) and John Tugman.
She is survived by: her friend Cora Lee McLain; her children, Rita McLean Smith (Jerry Smith), Rene McLean Dills (Danny Dills), Russell McLean Jr. (Trina McLean) and Robert McLean (Michelle Hamby); her grandchildren, Stacy Smith (Nikki Pierce) of Charlotte, NC, Dr. Anthony Smith of Charleston, SC, Judy Serbeck (Jason Serbeck) of North Wilkesboro, Jessica Smith of North Wilkesboro, Joseph Dills (Philomena Dills) of North Wilkesboro, Brett McLean of Charlotte, NC and Colin McLean of Elkin; and her sister-in-law Jean Tugman.
She was a faithful Sunday School teacher and loved to play the piano and organ at Fairplains Baptist Church until Covid -19 and indoor worship services were cancelled.
