He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Wales and Carrie Jane Miller Appold; and his siblings, Reta Marie Nelson, Mary Louise Miller and Edward Appold.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Appold; and his children, Nicole Lynn Appold of Cumberland, MD, John Appold (Millie) of Havre and Don Ray Appold (Fran) of Hanover, PA. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
