He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivy Eli and Myrtle Barlow Hendrix; his wife Benerly Kay Hendrix; and his son Ricky David Hendrix. He is survived by: his grandson Michael David Hendrix of North Wilkesboro; his nephews, Andy Soots Wilkesboro and John Adams; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Lovette and Sandy Wagoner; and his niece Kim Lovette.
