She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Tate Finley and Mildred Hope Whitney Finley; her husband Leonard Lawrence Brooks, Sr.; and her siblings, Frances Dancy, Mary Garden Barton, Fred T. Finley, Jr., Franklin Finley and Richard McBride Finley.
She is survived by: her sons, Leonard Lawrence Brooks, Jr. (Elizabeth A.) of North Wilkesboro and William Finley Brooks (H. Dean Bullis, Jr.) of Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Laura Brooks Baxley (Dwayne) of Fort Mill, SC and Niel Brooks (Melissa) of Wilmington; her great grandchildren, Brooks Baxley, Max Brooks and Molly Tate Brooks; and her sisters, Linda Elledge of Boone, June Cain of Colorado Springs, CO, Teresa Wolfe, Margaret Church and Janice Elledge.
