She was predeceased by: her parents, James Abraham and Ella Mae Hamby Dancy; her husband Horace Davis Hunter; and her siblings, Mabel Hudler, Paul and Vester Dancy.
She is survived by: her sons, Mike Hunter (Libby) of North Wilkesboro and Gary Hunter (Barbara) of West Jefferson; her grandchildren, James Austin Hunter, Kelly Huber and Kris Gardner; and her great grandchild Kathleen Huber.
