She was predeceased by: her parents, James Marshall Gibson and Peggy Marie Preslar-Gibson; and her sister Ellen Paulette Gibson. She is survived by: her husband Steven Oliver Owens; her son Derek Owens (Kristy) of North Wilkesboro; her granddaughters, Tinley and Ruthie Owens; her sister Marian Lynam of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and her nephew Marcus Lynam (Chelsea) of Fairfield, CT..
