He was predeceased by: his parents, Mackie Gene Lambert, Sr. and Cornella Combs Lambert; and his sister Melba Severt. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sidden Lambert; his sons, Mackie Andrew Lambert (Cegey) of Hays and Wesley Chad Lambert of Hays; his grandchildren, Mary BreAnna Austin Lambert, Mason Lee Harley Lambert and Sydney Kadence Lambert; and his siblings, Brenda Combs of Hays and Harold Combs of Alabama. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
