She was predeceased by: her parents, Hettie Parsons Horton and Bynum Horton; her son Bruce Eric Horton; the parent of her child Burke D. Carlton; her brothers, Vaughn C. Horton and Raford Horton; and her brother-in-law Dalphne H. Barnes (Harrison).
She is survived by: her children, Dwight E. Horton of Oklahoma City, Vivian A. Fuller of Wilkesboro, NC, Beverly D. Horton of Wilkesboro, NC, Warren Jr. Horton of Wilkesboro, NC, Yvonne H. Boles of Wilkesboro, NC, Bonita K. Harless of Wilkesboro, NC and Tonya M. Horton of Wilkesboro, NC; her nephew Don Hariston; and her close friend Maxine Carlton (Lula Carlton). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.
