He is survived by: his wife Harriette Littlejohn Compton; his children, Kathryn Lynn Compton of North Wilkesboro and Kenneth Lee Compton, Jr. (Joanne) of Matthews; his grandson John Ward Compton (Taylor) of Charlotte; his brother Hugh Compton (Maxine) of Arden, NC; and his nieces, Lori Sullivan and Lisa Littlejohn of Birmingham, AL..
