She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Eslie and Virgie Mae Landreth Shumate; her husband Richard Jack Feimster, Sr.; her son Richard Jack Feimster, Jr.; and her siblings, Faye Shumate, Sharon Shumate, Annie Shumate, Donna Dillard, Dreama Shumate, Kyle Shumate, Lyle Shumate, Roger Shumate, Tex Shumate and Leonard Shumate.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Randleman (Kevin) of Moravian Falls and Jimmy Shumate (LaDana) of Hays; her grandchildren, Joshua Shumate (Heather) of North Wilkesboro, Jared Shumate (Rebecca) of North Wilkesboro, Emily Billings (Dustin) of Traphill and Kumari Randleman of Moravian Falls; her great grandchildren, Raelynn Billings, Noah Shumate, Cainan Billings, Gracelynn Shumate, Oliver Shumate, Torryn Billings and Timothy Shumate; and her brothers, Roy Shumate of Hays, David Shumate of Thurmond and Gilbert Shumate of Tennessee. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Chapel (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the Haymeadow Baptist Church Cemetery (2345 Haymeadow Rd, Hays, NC 28635).
