We are sad to announce that on July 21, 2022, at the age of 82, Joyce Burke Wheeling (North Wilkesboro, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Ethel Mae Burke of Fairplains, NC.; her husband Richard Maurice Wheeling; her parent Terry Burke; her parents-in-law, Henry Clay and Ruth Hartley Wheeling; her brothers, Billy Ray Burke and James Burke; and her close friend Billy Samuel Buffaloe.

She is survived by: her daughter Karen Wheeling Reynolds (David); her grandchildren, Benjamin Knox Sloop (Ben) and Margaret Burke Sloop (Maggie); her great grandchild Roslin Ivy Sloop; her grandsons, John Knox Sloop, Ethan Benjamin Sloop and Timothy Lee; and her caregivers, Sherry Coggins of Novant Health, Jill Owen, Tara Rowe and Erica Linares.
