He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edward Owens, Sr. and Elsie Dare Marsh Owens; and his brother William Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Ruby B. Owens; his sons, Terry Owens (Vivian) of Panama City, Mark Owens of North Wilkesboro and Greg Owens (Marsha) of Hays; and his brother Dwayne Owens (Carolyn) of West Jefferson.
