He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Clyde and Blanche Lowe Ward; and his siblings, Helen Ward Smith, Dottie Ward Mathis, Evelyn Ward Houck, Bob Ward and Grady Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Sue McGlamery Ward; his son Michael David Ward (Angie) of North Wilkesboro; his grandson Michael Raymond Ward; his siblings, Pat Ward Ellis of Wilkesboro, Geraldine Ward Love of North Wilkesboro, Lynda Ward Jackson (Mackie) of Lewisville and Don Ward (Irene) of Pfafftown; and his caregivers, Christy Foster and Misty Riddle. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
