We are sad to announce that on August 31, 2021, at the age of 85, Jimmie David Childress of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Childress and Mary Novella Owens Childress; and his sister Shelby Childress Royal Bentley. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Nelson Sebastian Childress; his children, Cathy Bowers (David) of North Wilkesboro, John Sebastian (Sybillie) of North Wilkesboro and Walter Sebastian (Sandra) of North Wilkesboro; his siblings, Johnny Childress (Diane) of Millers Creek, Annie Mae Dula of Boomer, Ethel Church (Colin) of Millers Creek and Betty Combs (Roby) of Hays; his granddaughters, Melissa Underwood (Robert) of North Wilkesboro and Anna Marie Sebastian of North Wilkesboro; his great grandchildren, Logan Reavis and Lauryn Gross (Derrick); and his great great grandchild Hollyn Gross. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family request everyone to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
