He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Patterson; his children, Michelle Patterson of Inverness, FL, Gregory Timothy Griffin (Melissa) of Millers Creek and Gary Eugene Griffin of Purlear; his grandchildren, Santana Bitner, John Griffin, Timothy Griffin, Dustin Griffin, Bridget Griffin and Joshua Griffin; his great grandchildren, Kaleigh, Hannah, Conner, John, Amelia, Noah, Gunner, Gabe, Raiden and Kylyn; and his siblings, Patricia Parker of Gresham, Oregon, Louis Patterson of North Wilkesboro and Sidney Patterson of Sparta.
