It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Vernon Miller of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on April 24, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Miller and Lora Hayes Miller; his wife Hazel Alene Hersey Miller; and his siblings, Inez Harris, Louise Cornelius, Pat Prevette, R. C. Miller and Larry Miller.

He is survived by: his children, Lena Kay Miller and James V. Miller, Jr. (Angela) of Richfield, NC; his granddaughters, Nicole Miller and Caitlin Voyles (Christian Voyles); his great grandchildren, Lilliana and Sadie Voyles; and his sister Bobbie Witherspoon of North Wilkesboro.

The family has requested no flowers or food. Memorials may be made to Mtn.
