James Richard Rhodes Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Richard Rhodes Sr. of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on May 4, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Rhodes and Mary Rhodes; his sons-in-law, Kenny Church and Chris Stuart; his brothers-in-law, Roy Johnson and Roger Gambill; his nephew Dustin Rhodes; and his great-niece Nicole Watkins.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Rhodes; his children, Rolina Childress (Mitchell Childress), Colina Church, Angelietta Harris (Jerry Harris), James Rhodes Jr. (Jackie Rhodes), Melvin Rhodes (Tammy Rhodes), Robert Soles (Taylor McCann) and Brittney Stuart; and his siblings, Johnny Rhodes (Jeannie), Jeanette Johnson, Emily Hendrix (Jonathan), Claudia Higgins (David), Libby Gambill, Sally Simpson (JR), Freddy Rhodes, Ronnie Rhodes (Luann) and Claude Rhodes (Roxanne). He is also survived by 25 nieces and nephews, 46 Great nieces and nephews, and 26 Great Great nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Rhodes to a charity of the donor's choice.
