She was predeceased by: her parents, Oren Herbert "Hub" and Edith Waters Owens of Purlear; her husband Raymon O. Jay; her daughter Janice Lovette; her siblings, Jean Windham, Benny Owens, Hubert Owens and Buck Owens; and her grandson Chad Lovette.
She is survived by: her son Richard Allen Lovette (Beth) of Wilkesboro; her siblings, Peggy Dobson of Laplata, Wilma Healey, Vivian Greene (Lonnie) of White Pine, TN, Sandra Melaga of Clemmons, Sharon Gryder (Jimmy) of Millers Creek, Ralph Owens (Jackie), Joe Owens (Sandra) of Winston-Salem and Danny Owens (Linda) of Morristown; her grandchildren, Shay Martin Lovette of Boone and Michael Ray Eller (Kayla); and her great grandchildren, Ally Eller and Leah Spears of Millers Creek. She is also survived by her family especially her grandsons and great-grand daughters.
